IBS 2025: What Happened in Vegas Is Too Good Not to Share

IBS 2025, you did not disappoint. I’m still riding the high from three jam-packed days of innovation, connection, and let’s be honest… sensory overload in the best way possible.

Vegas was buzzing (and not just from the slot machines). Builders, marketers, sales pros, tech wizards—you name it—came together to share the latest and greatest in the home building industry. You know how they say, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”? Yeah, no. Not this time. Because what happened at IBS 2025 is going to ripple through our industry for the rest of the year—and probably beyond.

Highlights

One of my absolute favorite moments was speaking alongside rockstars like Haley Naebig, Kimberly Mackey, and Naomi Wright Bellamy. These women brought the fire. We laughed, we shared real-talk moments, and we got into the nitty-gritty of what’s working—and what’s changing—in our industry.

Our sessions were so much fun!  You could feel the joy and excitement in the room—people leaning in, nodding, taking notes – It wasn’t just about learning; it was about connecting.

IBS 2025 in a Nutshell: Innovation Meets “Let’s Get Real”

This year’s biggest takeaway? We’re building more than homes—we’re building smarter, more sustainable, more intentional communities. But we’re also keeping it real. Here’s what kept popping up:

  • Tech with a Soul: AI, VR, automation—yep, it’s all still trending. But now it’s less “look at this shiny thing” and more “how does this help our buyers?” It’s about meaningful innovation, not just bells and whistles.
  • People Still Matter (A Lot): Despite all the tech talk, we kept coming back to one thing: human connection. Whether it’s sales, customer experience, or team culture—people are still the heart of this business.
  • More Seats at the Table: Diversity and inclusion had a much-needed spotlight this year, Seeing more voices represented on stage and in the crowd – that’s the kind of progress I’m excited about!

All the Magic in Between

But here’s the thing: some of the best stuff didn’t happen in sessions or on stages. It happened in the coffee lines, at happy hours, dinners, and (yes) in those late-night chats where ideas got thrown around. IBS has a way of pulling people together—and this year was no different.

If I saw you there—yay! It was so good to connect in real life. If we didn’t get a chance to catch up, let’s change that.

Let’s Keep the Vibe Alive

If you couldn’t make it to Vegas this year, no worries. I’m still riding the wave and would love to chat about what you missed (and how it might apply to your world). I have openings for virtual coffee chats, and you’re invited. Whether you want to talk strategy, brainstorm some fresh ideas, or just debrief the madness that is IBS—let’s do it.

Bottom Line?

IBS 2025 reminded us why we love this industry: the people, the passion, the potential. It was bold, brilliant, and exactly the kind of kickstart we needed for the year ahead.

Now… who’s ready to turn that inspiration into action?

Let’s chat.
