Transformation: Don’t Miss the Women in Residential Construction Virtual Event

I’m excited to participate as a roundtable speaker in this year’s Women in Residential Construction’s live online event. The 2-day conference will take place on October 27-29th. This marks the 7th annual event for the organization.

I’ve had the good fortune to attend this event in person and virtually over the past couple of years and it never disappoints. It’s always packed with inspirational speakers, idea generation, and sisterhood. The online version is a way to bring us together even when we can’t all be together in person.

The conference, entitled, Transformation: The Growing Role of Women in Construction will allow woman in the building industry to take part in listening and learning from some of the top women in the industry. More than 200 female executives and managers will be attending, making peer-to-peer discussions and breakout sessions the perfect opportunity to discuss hot topics.

The conference will not only be about woman in the building sector but will touch on topics such as women in the workplace, achieving success throughout every stage of your career, diversity within construction, and learning to be a successful leader in your position. It was the late Gloria Vanderbilt who said, “I always believed that one woman’s success can only help another woman’s success.”

Being a woman in any industry can bring on its own challenges, but when we work in tandem to better one another, great things arise.

During my roundtable discussion, we will explore topics such as imposter syndrome, abundant mindset, and perfectionism. Managing your approach to the workplace is crucial in your success in any role; take a moment to talk about what is hindering you and your accomplishments.

Some other great presenters at the event include Anya Chrisanthon, Angela McKay, Lakisha Ann Woods and Jenny Rice. A power-packed 2-day event is sure to bring the excitement you need to end 2021 with a bang and help you think about your transformation as our industry is forever shifting and changing.
