Don’t Sacrifice Website Usability for Design
Websites are the online sales models for the new home building industry. You’ve probably heard that before. Just like models are constantly changing as we build new and better homes, close out communities, and start new models – your website too needs to grow and change, but one thing needs to remain the same. It needs to address the needs of your buyers and make the important things easy to find.
Sometimes when we do comprehensive audits, we find that the information a buyer really wants to know isn’t easily accessible. Sometimes it’s because design has won out over usability. Some very pretty sites may not be functional. And some functional sites may not be pretty.
It’s important to find a good balance between both.
Things Buyers Want:
- Available Homes
- Pricing
- Floorplans
- Videos
- Pictures
- Reviews
Your website is the hub of all activity, and all digital marketing should be driven back to calls to action, landing pages, and other important information on the website. Your website is a constantly evolving living breathing eco system. This means it needs check-ups. It needs check ins. And you need to create ways to measure results on the backend in your analytics.
If you haven’t had an online sales counselor program before, odds are your website needs some changes so that you can create that face of your website. The person who is manning or (wo)manning your leads, as I like to say.
Let us know if you’d like to talk about our comprehensive website audits. We’d love to help and make sure you stay relevant and appealing to your buyers in this everchanging market.
